I finally got around to making my long overdue first visit to Native last night, and it made me realize what a mistake it's been putting it off this long. I just moved back into town after years of being away, and a restaurant like this being here absolutely blew me away. The atmosphere is wonderful, I especially enjoy the open kitchen with kitchen/bar seating to eat at while you watch all the magic happen. Both the food and drink menus make it almost impossible to choose just one thing to try, but luckily there are several small plate options to sample and share which is great. For my first experience I had to go with the classic steak and potatoes, just to get a feel for how the essentials are approached. To be transparent, I did ask for a quick recook on the ribeye because even though they nailed the temp on it, I preferred it to be a bit more firm than mid rare, which they did quickly and without over cooking it. It was perfect. The crispy potatoes made for an excellent side without overwhelming the plate which I always appreciate. All in all I had an excellent experience, and can't wait to go back, and bring friends to share this small town treasure!

We walk in this nice twin of Honesdale,PA, they have many restaurants in the Main Street, so we stopped at Native Restaurant, for our surprise we had to make reservations, they were full, so either we had to wait one hour or eat in the table outside, we choose to eat outside, so they set up the table for our party of six very quick. Server was friendly and very accommodating, food was great! We order couple starters, salads, ribeye, chicken, fresh made raviolis, meat balls… food came in a good time and was delicious, full of flavor, the chef knows what he is doing. We left very happy, I highly recommend this place in your next visit to Poconos Area, specifically near Waymart or Honesdale PA.

Simply obsessed with this spot. I finally had a chance to visit and every expectation was met and exceeded. The spot itself is beautiful and intimate, and I highly recommend making a reservation. The menu is concise and well thought out. Every attempt is made to source local products. The ribeye was excellent.

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Something on the menu for everyone. Carnivores, vegetarian, or vegan. Started with a gin cocktail for myself, loved it as it was balanced and not too sweet. Hubby had the old fashioned, and he also like it. I started with the seafood risotto cake, was perfectly crisper on the outside and savory on the inside. Bob enjoyed the meatballs, sauce was flavorful and meatballs were tasty. Next, spinach Artichoke ravioli, filled nicely, and pasta was cooked al dente. Perfect! Bob chose the short rib mac and cheese, half portion, which was a generous portion of both the mac and cheese, and short ribs through out. Desert was the chevre cheesecake, and olive oil cake. Portions of everything were perfectly sized, food was delicious, and service was exceptional. Would recommend and would definitely return.

Beautiful decor, excellent service, incredible food!! I had the 4 raviolis, which are handmade, absolutely delicious! The olive oil cake? To die for!! Currently the best dessert I’ve ever had! Bartender and hostess were amazing, knowledgeable, and kind!

Let me start with the food was amazing! The waitress I had was very sweet & attentive. I ordered the pork chop, was cooked immaculately. I loved the added sweetness with the apple slices! Fiancé ordered the ribeye (also amazing) The chefs in there are running the place! & I love to see it. Charred Cesar Green salad crab Deviled egg toast Peach & hot honey toast (all FANTASTIC) & I appreciate those putting it together so wonderfully! Only negative thing was the Host was rude & not empathetic in the slightest for taking into consideration a persuaded recommendation (not pictured) was not liked & she refused to comp the price of 10 … which I found a little odd. Other than that, wonderful place & the food was great!

What a GREAT experience ‼‼ I drove about an hour to get to this location and the restaurant did not disappoint me‼ Service: I was greeted immediately, I sat near the bar on a high top. My service was pleasant and bartender was friendly when I complimented my old-fashioned that she made. Drinks: I had two old fashions and they were exactly what they were supposed to be old fashioned. Not too many bitters , great balanced cocktail. 10/10 Food: Food was amazing , I didn’t know what to get so I ordered everything I wanted lol . Each plate had a different taste profile. Octopus was grilled to perfection and had a Mexican feel to them ‼‼‼ Meatballs tasted like I took a step into an Italian restaurant ‼‼ omg the brisket Mac and cheese was amazing , It had a soul food/american, Italian feel to this plate . All plates were amazing, this place kinda had a tapas feel to it. Very diverse menu !! The Menu did not disappoint!! This restaurant took my tastebuds a few places lol Environment was great! Good music playlist and very diverse crowd (thank GOD). Lastly , this place was cost effective! I didn’t break the bank to eat here alone and got everything I wanted a decent price. I would definitely come back and recommend. Worth the hour ride! My friend actually met me here briefly and couldn’t believe all I ate to myself lol

What a find. Portion sizes is small but oh so tasty. I think the four of us tried half the menu. Octopus, crab toast, salmon...it is hard to pick a favorite. The Old Fashioned was excellent. Great staff, service with a smile and sense of humor.
